My family and I camped at Whispering Pines a couple of weeks ago and we had an amazing time. We were looking for a nice, quiet family campground and we found it here. We stayed in a secluded tent site, enjoyed fishing in the lake and playing in the pool. The kids loved the playground too, as well as the arcade. The staff was very helpful and nice. We will definitely be returning for another visit in the future.
They have a nice shop. Good camping ground. I simply not happy with their service. Two days before my arrival I found out they did not reserve my site for the reason my credit card did not go through. They have my phone number and had called me before. They did not call me to tell me that they did not reserve my site. After I arrived they did not gave me a reasonable explanation how this happened. They did provide me a temporary site after all. I felt they could be more friendly and do better.
I discovered Whispering Pines about 15 years ago while searching for a better place to tent camp near Ricketts Glen state park, then the state park itself. And what a great discovery it turned out to be. It's only about 30 mins from the park, but is so much nicer of a place to camp. Sites are spaced out well, there is plenty of privacy, the scenery is beautiful, the grounds are very well maintained, and you don't have all the crowds and noise, that the state park has. The camp store is well stocked, and has pretty much any provision you need, and the prices are unbelievably low. Whispering Pines is by far the best, and my favorite place to camp. I just returned from a 5 day stay there, and it was honestly really hard to leave. I would highly recommend this campground to any one who enjoys peaceful serenity, privacy, a beautiful sky at night, quiet mornings, and long days of truly excellent camping. I can't wait until my next trip there!
Wow what an amazing experience! Well maintained property. RV sites with full hookups were very spacious. We have been to many where your right on top of your neighbors. Not here. Nice camp store with anything you may have forgot or may need. Owners were very nice and helpful. The pool is very new. Firewood delivered to your site. Playground for the kids. Nice fishing pond on site. It's close proximity to Ricketts Glen State Park( which was awesome )makes this a no brainer. Highly recommend this campground!
